County Galway is on the West Coast of Ireland, in the Irish province of Connacht. It is the second largest county in Ireland.

It is renowned the world over for its unspoiled natural beauty, the rugged Connemara landscape, its island studded coastline, and the dynamic Galway City - the most westerly city in Europe.

County Galway is home to Lough Corrib (the largest lake in the Republic of Ireland) and exquisite mountain ranges including Na Beanna Beola (The Twelve Pins), Na Sléibhte Mhám Toirc (The Maumturk Mountains), and Sliabh Echtghe (Slieve Aughty). Galway abounds with lakes and rivers, numerous beaches scattered throughout Galway Bay and breath-taking landscape with vast areas unchanged for centuries.

The County includes the Aran Islands (Inis Mór, Inis Meáin and Inis Oírr) and the Connemara region, one of Ireland's most beautiful scenic locations and the largest Gaeltacht (Irish speaking) area in the country. It is also home to Galway city, one of the fastest growing cities in Europe with modern developments and urban infrastructure. From urban to rural landscapes, Galway has it all.
