2012: Magma Productions is an independent production company developing and producing live-action feature films/TV movies and animation series/movies for an extensive range of broadcasters and distributors worldwide.The Company occupies a strong niche position in the marketplace for the creation of high concept programming. The Company is acknowledged for its ability to generate humorous and quirky ideas that rise above cultural sensibilities to appeal to international audiences. The producers have consistently proven a solid track record in delivering high quality programming on time and within budget.

The Company centres most of its activity in Galway, Ireland with a subsidiary in the UK – Ulysses Films, Belfast. The team are long-time co-producers with companies such as AFilm Productions (Denmark), Anima (Finland), Ulysses FilmProduktion and Studio Rakete (Germany) on animation projects such as Niko and the Way to the Stars, Niko 2: Little Brother Big Trouble and Legends of Valhalla – Thor and have delivered a series of live action crime films, Jack Taylor, to ZDF (Germany), Channel 5 (UK) and TV3 (Ireland).

The Company works with a very strong team of creative writers, script editors and creative producers and has become the centre of an international network of strong creative talent from different cultures, including story boarders, voice talent and directors.
